Nancy Sutter Studio

I have been a practicing artist for close to 30 years now.

My mission has always been to promote the creative  muses in everyone I meet.

 I believe that art doesn't always come from a formally trained environment, such as college. My work comes from the school of  hardknocks.  Though the work can be a bit naive at times, my foundation is "passion". I find that passion is the driving force and the truth behind any "good" art. No passion, no art worth remembering.

 I am the youngest of five children. I spent a greater portion of my youth living over seas.  My father, a communications engineer, was able to take us to Africa (Cameroon),  Italy (Milan), Iran ( Tehran),  and many other countries.

These global romps greatly  influenced my art.  In these exotic locations, I was overwhelmed by the shear power of color. In the local markets and bizarres, my senses would be reeling from the sounds, scents and colors.

Years later, I still have a fascination for bold colors.

I hope you enjoy my pieces as much as I enjoyed painting them....
